Covers

Every room that we walk into is filled with people and the cover of lies that they choose to show us. What they see is the cover we have put in front of ourselves. It seems to me that our minds get lost between these covers and often forget to unfurl what goes on behind them. Each of us is simply projecting something that is not always the exact truth. Yet, what is the problem with this? What is wrong if that is what everyone else can see? Why is there a problem with a lie that everyone sees as the truth?

It most probably won’t end up being the problem of those around us and those looking in, but the problem would be with what we show and what we end up seeing because of it. The strength that we fake for the world may lead to us being hurt more simply because the air around us appears to be strong enough to take it even if it is not. It won’t matter to someone else if they think they are treating you the way you are.
So why don’t we simply break these facades? Why can't we walk into a room and just see right through everyone? Are we so scared of other people’s disapproval? Yet, if everyone is scared of everyone, doesn’t that mean that no one is scared of anyone? Maybe everyone doesn’t think that's how it is. Possibly, it is just how easily we are visible to everyone. Possibly this façade is from a fear of interpretation or actually misinterpretation. That sounds a bit pointless, and so does this argument on whether our covers are good or not. It is not like they are going anywhere.
If too many of us remove it, then the rest of us will keep it on just to limit further disagreement, and if too few of us remove it, then we will automatically be suppressed by what is around us. It appears to be something that is all or nothing. Or maybe that is what I want to show you; moreover, it is probably what you want to see.
