Ranveer's Rambles

Sometimes it doesn't make sense, but that's the best part.
It started with a few stories but now I mostly question what we see everyday and think of normal.

How can we make a dream come true? Is it just luck? Is it all hard work? Or is there just some external force that decides whose dreams come true and who doesn’t? It definitely cannot simply be luck, because then we would not come to hear all these stories about the underdogs. And it is definitely not hard work, because we all know hundreds of people who work hard but are not really living the life they would want. A sportsperson training all day and working on their sport may be working hard, but without them getting an opportunity to show it, they will never live that dream. When someone who does not work at all gets an opportunity, they probably won’t get another one because they never worked to capitalize on it.

So how do we make the two meet? How can we make sure that our dreams come true? Or, to some extent, is it outside our control? At some point, do we just leave it to the world to decide whether we will be successful or not? Or is there some secret technique of manifestation that we come across on the internet, sometimes telling us to listen to specific sounds and how it will instill the energy of success in us? People do believe in these techniques, and possibly there is some truth to them, but then again, does it all come down to randomness?

There is no observable order or logic to making dreams come alive. So, why do we end up trying at all? If it appears that it doesn’t guarantee anything, what is it that we end up doing with all of this work and effort? One way to think of it is that we work hard because, even if it does not change our lives or give us satisfaction, it can help us make ourselves useful. That does not sound very dreamy, does it? being useful. Yet, what it does is make our presence meaningful, not only to others but to ourselves as well.

It seems a bit simplistic, right? Just be helpful and useful, and you’ll end up helping yourself and others. What actually might be true is the lack of it, which we have seen in recent times. It appears that everyone is making sure to discredit things around them to push themselves up in comparison. At the end, they may be above, yet they still cannot find a way to the top.
